2023 Battle for Los Angeles - Presented by Smashbotz & SCAR

Smashbotz return to LA in the second "Battle for Los Angeles" event presented by Smashbotz and Southern California Attack Robotics.

This is the 9th Annual SmashBotz competition this year in historic Downtown Los Angeles. We welcome competitors of all ages and expertise. Those interested in competing please refer to http://sparc.tools for Judging, Guidelines, Procedures and Robot construction rules. 

The schedule for this event will be:

• Saturday
  • Hobbyweights (12lb)
  • Antweights (1lb)
  • Fairyweights (150g)
     
• Sunday 
  • ​​​​​​​Featherweights  (30lb Full Combat and Sportsman)
  • Beetleweight (3lb)
  • Plastic Antweight (1lb)

  The event will be indoors at the Lucky Cat Labs. There will be a small indoor pit area with power and work space. We are adding the option to pit outside if you feel more comfortable to do so. Feel free to bring EZ-Ups, tables, extension cords, power strips, etc...you know the drill. There will be multiple arenas to accommodate all the weight classes comfortably. There will also be food and refreshments onsite as well as live entertainment.

We will be hosting a small builder after party when the event is over with a Taco Truck covered by SCAR. This event will go on rain or shine. So come and be a part of SoCals growing bot-building community and let's show these Angelinos what robot combat is all about! 

We are still looking for a few volunteers if any one is interested in the following positions: * Judging * Bot Cue * Runners * Build/ Break Down * Announcer for Fairy /Plastic Arena
