Illuminate Salt Lake

We have been invited to put on an exabition at this years Illuminate Salt Lake

ILLUMINATE  is a free celebration of innovation and imagination for the community, art lovers, and families. Artists working with technology and using light as their medium will use Downtown Salt Lake CIty’s Library Square as a canvas to  create projection-mapped artwork, 3D Sculptures and exhibits inspired by the theme Mother Nature in Light. 

ILLUMINATE  is moving festival headquarters to Library Square and bringing some of the biggest art pieces yet to this free community event. Highlights include Salt Lake CIty’s first public drone show and a large-scale projection mapping piece on the City and County Building, one of the state’s  iconic architectural gems. Additional activities include  live music and entertainment, food and beverages, art booths, STEAM exhibitors and light art installations from local and regional artists.

So what we are going to do is have our plastic Ant Arena set up along with an area for bots to be worked on. It will be an out door event so prepare for that. We will be focusing on the Saturday, not enough people signed up for both days and its alot of effort. there is also not going to be access to have everyone have there own power. so bring lots of spare batteries already charged and all that.

 This will be stricly a exabition style event. No tournament, no chips, etc NO REGISTRATION FEE

Weight limit will not be fully inforced, we want you to make your existing plastic ants as bright and flashy as posssible. tape leds, glow in the dark paint, whatever you can think of to make it flashy and fun. But if we get the feeling you are trying to use that extra weight as armor or weapon we will have an issue. THIS IS NOT ABOUT WINNING!! This is about having fun and getting people interested in Robot Combat.
