WRC December 2023
This event features a 'Swap and Sell' where competitors are encouraged to bring parts/equipment to trade or sell on the day. A time will be dedicated with no fights for people to mingle and view eachothers wares. Both trading parts and selling for money is fine at each builder's discresion. The intention of this is to allow some to obtain things valuable or useful to them that others have less need for, such as beetleweight parts as that is soon to be part of the WRC roster. Note that one's market stand is their pit table, so don't bring more than you can handle! It is suggested that builders bring cash to exchange for parts if desired. Some important rules:
Some example items to be exchanged are motors, wheels, battery chargers and leads, ESCs, small toolkits or gearboxes.
As for the fights, loadin begins at 8:00, with doors close at 18:00. Registration cutoff is 10:00 on the day, and planning to run matches 10-5.
If you plan to attend as a spectator, please email the event coordinator
The standard SPARC ruleset will be followed, aside from the requirement that all destructive class entrants must have an active weapon. View the booklet here: http://sparc.tools/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/SPARC_Robot_Construction_Specifications_v1.3.pdf
Weapon locks are required, and if you wish to test robot function on the bench one needs to utilise chocks.
Each competing robot incurs a $10 registration fee, all proceeds go towards funding the beetleweight arena and other event related expenses.
