Spartan Bell Slugfest

San Jose State University's ASME student club is pleased to present, in collaboration with UC Santa Cruz Slugbotics and Bellarmine Robotics Combat Competition, Spartan Bell Slugfest at Industrial Metal Supply!

Classes: Beetleweight, Antweight, Plastic Antweight, and Bot Hockey.

All bots require a safety lock. Please handle and charge LiPo batteries with proper care. Wear appropriate safety glasses and protective equipment when using tools in the pit area.

Event details:

• The event will be livestreamed by the BCRC team in collaboration with Bunny of Team Malice!

• Arena and Pit areas will be indoors.

• Parking may be limited, please plan accordingly.

• Tables and power strips may be limited, please bring one if you are able.

• Rules will be based on the SPARC ruleset. Fire and projectiles of any kind will not be allowed in any class.

• Cleats are allowed in the Beetleweight and Full-Combat Antweight classes.

• The Beetleweight looser's bracket may be run in the BCRC hexagon, depending on registration numbers and schedule needs.

Schedule:

Check-In & Bot Safety: 9:00AM - 10:00AM

Driver's Meeting: 10:00AM

Matches Start: 10:30AM

Lunch Break: 1:00PM

Fights Resume: 1:40PM

Awards: 5:30 PM

Beetleweight class will use SJSU's 8'x8' square arena with hardwood-ply flooring. The Full-Combat Antweight class will be run in an octagonal arena with hardwood-ply flooring, from BCRC. Plastic Antweight class will use 6'x6' square arena with FRP flooring, provided by Bunny from Team Malice. All arenas will be swept as frequently as possible, however clean conditions and smooth floors cannot be guaranteed.

We expect to have a continuous rotation of fights in the three arenas, with the next class loading in as each fight starts.
