SCAR - May Metal Massacre 2024

We are pulling out all the stops: This is the premiere event for the ONE YEAR anniversary of the newest 12lb/30lb arena on the West Coast: the SCAR arena! All are welcome to spectate, and the event is all ages. 

Important Information: To encourage builders to bring robots from multiple weight classes, we are planning on splitting the tournaments over different days: Saturday May 25th: Fairyweights, Antweights, 12lb Sunday May 26th: Plastic Antweights, Beetleweights, 30lb 

To allow as many builders as possible for this event, we are limiting registration to one robot per team per weightclass, with additional robots being put on the waitlist. If you have found registration is full, please email us and we will try to make space for you.  If you are for whatever reason unable to bring your own table and chairs, we have a very small amount available on site, however, you will have to email me to reserve those and they will be first come first serve.  Also, if you have extra needs outside of things mentioned please contact me and we'll see what we can do to address those needs.

All attendees and spectators will be required to fill in event paperwork at the door for insurance purposes.

Snacks and Drinks will be available for sale on-site.

SCAR is hosting a special FREE builders dinner at the event on Saturday night featuring Pomona Street Tacos.  (You have to try to ghost pepper taco!) 

Attendees:

• Under 18 must be accompanied by parents or guardians
• anyone welcome to attend
• registrants must register before the event to ensure competition slots
  • you may bring a robot in case spots open day of
  • you should contact event organizer about last minute registrations
  • additional registration will be taken in order of waitlist
  • you must contact the EO about unusual new or rule-bending bots and designs to check that they will be allowed.  if in doubt ask we don't bite.

Come hang out with veteran and star combat robot builders, get some battles in, and have a nice easy bot battling day!
