Wolves Combat Classic

Welcome to the Wolves Combat Classic, Sponsored by Repeat Robotics and hosted by our Wolves Robotics Booster Club, our first event of 2024! We're running two brackets, PLAnts, and Fairies! Spectators are free!

Important information: This event is hosted at Estrella Foothills High School so please be careful with the tables and equipment, we want to do this again in the future.

There will be a snack bar at the event. Please bring cash but Zelle and Venmo are accepted too. (No cards)

This event is a fundraiser for the EFHS Wolves Robotics Booster Club to help fund the Club’s 2024-2025 FTC Robotics Season.

Park in the first lot on the right and enter through the gates near the office and head to the gym (straight through the gate).

 

Schedule:

7:30 - Doors open and check in starts.

8:30 - safety starts.

9:00 - Driver’s meeting, brackets will be finalized at this point.

9:30 - Fights begin with round 1.

12:00 - Lunch

1:00 – Fights start back up again.

4-6 – We should be done around here

Arena: There will be one arena that everyone uses. The arena is 4ft by 4ft by 2ft with a wooden floor.

 

 

Rules:

We will follow the basic Sparc ruleset. The full ruleset can be found here: https://sparc.tools/SPARC_Robot_Construction_Specifications_v1.4.pdf

General Rules:

• No heat, fire, smoke, entanglement, or other weapons that do not fit the spirit of the rules.
• Bots will have approximately 20 minutes between fights for repairs. This 20 minutes is per bot not per competitor, so if you bring multiple bots you might use up repair time while fighting with the others. Depending on how many show up we might be more lenient on this rule. 
• If your battery is exposed or outside your robot, the fight will be ended immediately in a technical knockout (TKO)
• Googly eye weight bonus!
  • You are allowed extra weight to add googly eyes that do not affect the structure or impact the defense/attack abilities of your bot. If your bot already meets the weight limit and adding Googly eyes exceeds the weight limit you are allowed to add them if they meet the previous constraints.

Plastic antweight-specific rules:

• Approved materials are 3D-printed PET, PETG, ABS, ASA, PLA, and PLA+. TPU and other flexible filament parts are illegal to be used as part of your chassis, armor, or weapons. If you have questions about a specific material’s legality, then please contact the EO.

Format: 

• Double Elimination
  • Lose twice and you’re out.
• 3-minute matches for PLAnts and 2 minutes for Faires
• Winners will be determined by judges If the match goes the full 3 minutes  criteria will be 5-6-6 for aggression, control, and damage (Standard SPARC Criteria)

  

Safety:

• Safety is the #1 priority for our events. 
• Batteries are recommended to be charged in a LIPO bag. 
• If you are using any power tools, drills, saws, etc.. Please use them outside.
• Anyone violating safety procedures will be removed.
