General Info:

This building is only used for combat robotics. It is fully insulated and air conditioned! We also offer a newly remodeled bathroom located inside the same building. Rain or shine it's nice inside

Start Time: 10:00 AM PST

End Time: 5:30 PM PST

Entry Fees:

Team Registration Fee is, $10 per team. Each plastic ant is $15 and each full combat ant is $17

Cash only please. We can make change if needed. Electronic methods such as venmo, Zelle, will not be accepted. 

No public spectators are permitted. Competitors and their teammates only. Address will be emailed to competitors prior to the day of the event. The venue is within 2 miles of the address listed on this site. If you have any questions regarding the address, please email WestCoastCombatRoboticLeague@gmail.com specifically. 

Arena Information:Both Arenas are 4ft x 4 ft x 2ft tall. Equipped with Lighting systems, software to control timing, lights and sound, cameras, as well as buttons for competitors to indicate readiness, as well as to tap out! 1 arena is a true 1/4" thick STEEL floor,  with ¼” thick side skirts that are 3 inches tall.

1 arena is wood floor with traction paint.  (Eventually this will be steel as well)

You can choose which surface you prefer!

What To Bring:

• Weapon lock, and safety goggles. (goggles not required but recommended)
• Basic materials and tools will be provided to repair your robot
• Event is hosted at the West Coast Combat Robotic League’s indoor and air conditioned facility.
• Nothing! If you are new to Combat Robotics and want to learn more, this is a great way to get involved! The Facility has everything else.
• Drinks, Including various ice cold sodas and waters will be provided, free of charge!
• Lunch will also be provided free of charge! (details will be listed soon)

Event Details:

• Entire event is held Inside! With free and safe parking on site.  Every bot entry gets you a table, chair and 6 port power strip! Tables are not plastic tables, they are custom wood tables with great lighting, shelves to place tools, charging batteries, anthing you do not want cluttering you're workspace. Also a surface you can beat your bot back into shape on! We have enough for 1 chair per bot entry and a few more. But, i know some teams can be large. So if brackets are full and you have more than 1 person on your team, you may want to bring a chair for them just incase. 
• SPARC rule set will be enforced.  As such, plastic ants cannot have magnets affixed for downforce and no fire weapons are allowed.
• The combat antweight division will receive  1st and 2nd place awards, for the top two ranked robots.
• The plastic antweight division will receive 1st and 2nd place awards, for the top two ranked robots.
• Additional awards for both classes include:  "Most Destructive" and "Most Destroyed"

Monetary awards(giftcards) for plastic antweight:

• 1st: $90 
• 2nd: $45
• 3rd: $20

Monetary awards(giftcards) for antweight:

• 1st: $70
• 2nd: $50
• 3rd: $25
• All award winners will receive an large printed and polished trophy!
• Regular antweights, will run double-elimination
• Plastic antweights, will run double-elimination
• Teams who still want to fight after all matches are over, will be allowed to participate in grudge matches, if time permits

Arenas are equipped with a full air evacuation system. Additionally, fire extinguishers are placed throughout the building.   Punctured batteries will be placed in a sand bucket and taken outside.

 Schedule:

Gate Opens	8:00
Safety Testing	10:00-11:00
Fights	11:00-12:30
Lunch	12:30-1:30
Fights	1:30-5:15
Awards Ceremony	5:15 - 5:30

 

There will be atleast a 15 minute repair period between each fight. This period can be extended once for 20 minutes by a driver, during the event. (This may be subject to change either before or during this event)

With 2 arenas going simultaneously, it might end earlier than the schedule says.
