For beetles we do 3 rounds of 3-way fights to start with a point system to guarantee everyone at least 3 fights. We then move on to a single elimination bracket with the top 12 ending with a 3-way rumble, so we only put in the top 3 for ranked usually.
Robots outside the top 3 will be given a placing of 9th which will record their inclusion in the event but they will not earn ranking points.
