MRCA Michigan Mashup 2025 Event #6

Event details:

Hello my fellow roboteers! We are once again partnered with MRCA and will be following the MRCA ruleset in robot construction, event rules, and judging guidlines which can be found here: https://midwestrobotcombat.com/rules/. The event is hosted in the small town of Bloomingdale at a local telecommunications company there is a reasonable amount of space with tables and chairs being provided. You will be required to bring your own extension cords and any equipment that is necessary for the repair and operation of your robots.  The event will run as long as required to complete the brackets but I am hoping to have it wrapped up by 8PM.

Spectators are welcome but everyone who attends the event will be expected to sign a basic waver before the competition begins.

Doors open at 8:00am and I am tentatively hoping to start fights by 10:00am but it may possibly be later if setup takes longer then expected. You must have any bots that plan to compete signed in and tested by 9:45 AM so i can get the brackets built. 

A $30 fee will be collected per robot in Antweight and Beetle classes to cover venue and arena costs. Fairyweights are not an MRCA ranked class and will be free for drivers under the age of 14 or $20 for drivers over. Drivers are only allowed to register 3 robots total and only 2 in any given class, Please do be conscious however that this event will likley completly fill and only register slots that you are certain to use. 

There will be a basic looking over of your robot and a failsafe check at time of sign in. Some type of locking device for active weapon robots is required and you are expected to have confirmed that your robot will failsafe before arriving at the competition to keep things moving along. Failure to follow safe handling could result in disqualification without fee reinbursment. We do reserve the right to disqualify any robot that we think may be an unresonable risk to the arena or spectators.

Competition details:

Arena is 8' x 8' x 4' and consists of laminate floor and 1/2 thickness of polycabonate on all transparent portions of the arena.  The arena includes a pit that will become active in the last 45 seconds of the match.

Tournament style will be modified swiss for MRCA Beetles and Antweights with small trophies awarded to the top 3 bots in each class. The fairyclass will be run as double elimination in a smaller arena, top 3 winners will receive a Michigan Mashup trophy token.

If time allows a rumble including any drivers that wants to be included from each group will be held near the end of the day.

PAYMENT FOR SIGNUPS WILL BE DAY OF COMPETITION, CASH IS PREFFERED BUT CASH APP & VENMO WILL BE AN OPTION AT TIME OF SIGN IN AS WELL.
