Sonoran Showdown 2025 | Wildcat Robotics

On March 29th, 2025, The University of Arizona's Wildcat Robotics will be hosting the second annual Sonoran Showdown in Bear Down Gym. There will be double-elimination Beetleweight and non-plastic Antweight tournaments.

Event details:

• 6x6x3 foot enclosed lexan arena with MDF floor (no pit)
• Standard safety measures and rules, see https://sparc.tools/
• Folding tables and power will be provided
• Please bring your own tools

Event Timeline:

• 7:30 AM Doors Open
• 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Registration Begins
• 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM Drivers Meeting
• 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Fights
• 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Lunch
• 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM Competition
• 5:45 PM- 6:00 PM Awards Ceremony
• 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Pack up

Parking will be free on-campus.  The nearest parking garage is the one on Cherry Avenue.

Donations for registration are greatly appreciated!  We can accept Venmo, Zelle, and cold-hard-cash at the event.
