BCRC Bell Brawls V

Bell Brawls is an action-packed combat robotics tournament hosted in Silicon Valley, run entirely by high school students. 3lb and 1lb robots will battle it out in the BCRC's 35 sq. ft. octagonal arena until a champion is crowned. 

This event is made possible by Palm Beach Bots.

We will have steel floors this time!

Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025

Location: 799 Emory St, San Jose, CA 95110. We are in a different spot on campus as to previous Bell Brawls. Come to the Carney amphitheater.

Please navigate to and park in the parking garage (it is free) at 799 Emory St. Parking in the neighborhood is largely not allowed by the city. We are in a different location as to last time. In the map below, the event center is marked in red and parking in blue. Look for the building with the red roof. We will be in the amphitheater connected to the building.

We are underground, so please do not bring any toolboxes or wheeled items that will not fit in a standard small elevator. Milwaukee Packouts, etc. will be fine.

Food & Concessions: Lunch will be sold onsite. We will have cheese and pepperoni pizza from Costco along with various snacks and drinks including cookies, chips, and soda.

Schedule (Sun, May 18th):

Doors will open at 8:30, and we request all teams to arrive by 9:00. Here is the tentative schedule: 8:30 - doors open for teams; robot safety inspections begin 9:00 - teams must be in house by then, judging begins 9:15 - team meeting; bracket finalized 9:30 - fights start; robot safety inspections must be complete 12:00 - lunch break 1:00 - fights resume 4:00 - awards ceremony 5:00 - doors close

Entry fee: $20 each robot for both 3lbs and 1lbs

Awards sponsored by Palm Beach Bots ($200 worth of prizes)

Spectating: Free and welcomed! There will be chairs for seating, concessions, and the BattleBot showcase mentioned above!

Bracket: 12 robots for each weigh class; double elimination
