Tulsa Community Combat Robotics, in partnership with Combat Robots of Oklahoma, proudly presents Discovery Destruction at Discovery Lab Tulsa!
Event Details:
Location: Discovery Lab Tulsa 3123 Riverside Dr, Tulsa, OK 74105
Schedule: Competitors may begin arriving at 7:30 AM, with safety checks commencing as soon as the doors open. We aim to initiate matches by 10:00 AM, coinciding with the opening of the Discovery Lab. All participants are requested to be on-site by 9:00 AM to ensure timely completion of safety inspections prior to the start of the tournament. Please note that the museum will close at 5:00 PM, and all tournament brackets must be concluded by this time.
Facilities: The venue will provide tables and chairs, and restroom facilities will be available on-site. Please be advised that electrical outlets may be limited; therefore, we recommend bringing your own power strips and extension cords. Pits will be located in the upstairs classroom, and matches will be livestreamed for competitors.
Food Arrangements: Competitors are responsible for arranging their own meals. Food may be delivered to the front of the museum or purchased from the museum café. Due to short break intervals, we suggest taking the opportunity to eat as soon as possible.
Arena Specifications: The fighting arena measures 8 ft x 8 ft and stands 2 ft tall, featuring a wooden floor. While there is a seam present in the center of the floor, efforts will be made to minimize its impact.
Robot Requirements: All robots must comply with the SPARC Robot Construction Specifications. The following restrictions apply:
Weight Classes: The event will feature two weight classes:
Driver Limitations: Each driver may serve as the main operator for a maximum of three robots across any weight class. While multiple robots may compete within the same weight class, please consider that repair times may be limited.
School Limitations: School teams (e.g. High School, University) are limited to only registering three robots within a weight class for the first week of registration. This is done to allow new/individual competitors an opportunity to compete. For ease of management, we ask that school teams please wait until defferred registration to register beyond the three robot limit.
Tournament Format: The format will be determined based on the number of entrants. All registered robots are guaranteed a minimum of two fights in the tournament.
Fees: Entry fees for competitors accessing the museum will be waived (maximum of 3 team members per robot). Spectators who learned about the event through CROK/TCCR will receive a discount code.
