RSL Iowa

We will be hosting a MRCA qualifying combat robot competition in Knoxville, IA. The competition will include 1lb (plastic antweight), 1 lb (antweight) and 3 lb (beetleweight) weight classes going head-to-head in an enclosed arena.

Tournament Format: Group Stage where 3-1 and better records move into Single Elimination

Sign Ups: There are open spots for 16 plastic antweights (1 lbs),  32 antweight (1 lbs) bots and 16 beetleweight (3 lbs) bots.

Date: July 26, 2025

Location: Marion County Extension Gym Space 210 N Iowa St. Knoxville, IA 50138

Venue: Has plenty of space for pits (tables & chairs are provided). There will be a couple of TVs to view the fights.

Antweight & Beetleweight Prizes:

• First Place $50 gift card to Robot Smashing League’s Store
• Second Place $25 gift card to Robot Smashing League’s Store
• Third Place $10 gift card to Robot Smashing League’s Store

Rough Schedule:

• 8:00am – Doors Open & Safety Opens
• 10:00am – Doors Open for Spectators and fights begin
• 5:00pm - Single Elimination Starts

Entry Fee: $25 per plastic ant, $35 per bot for ant and beetleweight

Ruleset: This event will follow MRCA rules. For Plastic Ants the SPARC construction rules will apply.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome and free to attend and doors open at 10am.
