SCAR - Maker Faire Orange County 2025

SCAR is once again partnering with the Orange County Maker Faire for a full day of robot carnage, along with other Maker Faire activities! Join our community here!

This will be a two day event with 3lbs bots fighting both days for the SCAR Beetle Belt! We will be running the following weight classes for this event:

150g Full Combat

1lb Full Combat Antweights

1lb Plastic Antweights

3lb Beetles

12lb Full Combat Hobbyweights

30lb Sportsman

30lb Full Combat

Due the size of the event we are allowing one robot per builder per weightclass.  If you wish you register a second robot, this robot will be moved to the Waitlist to allow as many competitors as possible.  

Check-in will be allowed and encourged Friday evening to help expedite the event for more robot fighting on Saturday

FOOD:

There will be some food booths to buy food at. There may be long lines, so you could bring a sack lunch.

PARKING:

As you approach the OC Fair & Event Center, follow the electronic signs to the Maker Faire Lot Entrance.  When you get to the parking attendant to pay the $10 parking fee

Attendees:

Under 18 must be accompanied by parents or guardians. Each team will get up to 2 tickets other members of the team and spectators will need to buy a ticket to the Maker Faire: https://oc.makerfaire.com/tickets/
