Southeast Michigan Smash at i3Detroit

Date: Saturday, August 9th, 2025

Location: i3Detroit, 1481-A, Wordsworth St, Ferndale, MI 48220

Venue: Tables & chairs are provided. This location gets quite warm in the summer, be prepared for that! We will provide water bottles and have fans around the venue.

Parking: Parking in front of the venue is limited, please see Parking - i3Detroit for more details on where you can park.

Tournament Format: Modified Swiss. There will be a group stage where 3-1 and better records move into a single elimination bracket.

Sign Ups: There are open spots for 24 fairyweights (150g) and 24 plastic antweights (1lb).

Entry Fee: $15 per robot. (If registration fees are preventing you from attending, pease reach out. We want anyone interested to be able to compete!)

Arena: 4' x 4', painted metal floor, pit and auger arena hazards.

Rough Schedule:

• 8:00am – Doors Open for Competitors

• 8:30am - Safety Opens

• 10:00am – Doors Open for Spectators and Fights Start

Ruleset: This event will follow MRCA rules. For Plastic Ants the SPARC construction rules will apply.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome and free to attend, doors open for the audience at 10am.
