Railside Rumble 2

Railside Robotics, Purdue University's battlebots club is planning on hosting a public competition where FC antweght and beetleweights will fight in double-elimination style brackets until one antweight and one beetleweight are crowned champions.

Important Points of Emphasis:

• No age limit for spectators or competitors, and spectators are free!

• Non-refundable entrance fees once registration is available will be as follows and can be paid using these instructions for those officially registered:
  • $25 for antweights
  • $30 for beetleweights
• Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and for the Most Destructive and Most Innovative robots in the FC antweight and beetleweight class.
  • Prizes are $40/$20/$20 for 1st-3rd places in both classes sponsored by Repeat Robotics
  • Prizes are $50 for Most Destructive, Most Innovative, and Most Destroyed sponsored by ItGresa Robotics
• We will have plastic antweight exhibition matches throughout the competition which do not have entrance fees or prizes.
• Arena is 8' x 8' x 4' and is double-walled with a painted plywood floor

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM: Check-in starts and safeties start
• 8:30 AM: Check-in ends and mandatory driver's meeting
• 9:00 AM: Fights start with plant exhibition matches as time permits
• 1:00 PM: Lunch starts
• 2:00 PM: Lunch ends and fights resume with plant exhibition matches as time permits
• 6:00 PM: Fights end and awards ceremony
