WRC is a new fighting league aiming to help fill the gap in events since the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of that pandemic this event will be outdoors, masks will be worn, and I will try to keep space between teams when I can.

We have a Discord now: https://discord.gg/GSUBJDKA If all goes well the event will be streamed here at around 11:00am CST: https://www.twitch.tv/wisconsinroboticcombat

Event details:

The arena and neccesary equipment to run this event will be in my open garage; the pit area will be my driveway and part of the yard. This means that parking will be at the bread factory across the street. You will have to bring your own table, chairs, power strip, and extension cord. Please understand this; I don't have the money or space to accomodate everyone with these items. I will have power supplied at two power strips, but you must run an extension cord up to one of those locations.

I'll be setting up between 9:00 and 11:00. During this time it is critical that you set up all your equipment and get in que for a safety check in. I need to confirm your robot can failsafe and that it has appropriate weapon locking before we start competition at 11:00. I will have a little meeting before we actually get going to go over some basics so everyone is on the same page.

If anyone wants to help out with judging or announcing while I run my own fights just talk to me the day of. I don't have a crowd to keep entertained, so it's pretty free in regards to that.

Competition details:

We all know that "just 5 more minutes!" means your robot is in four pieces. I will try to be as reasonable as I can with delays and repair times, but as we get later into the tournament I can only guarantee competitors 20 minutes.

Arena: Wood floor, wood walls, 1/8" polycarbonate top. 36.5" x 38.5" x 10.75" box. (It's a small arena because it's a shelf I found on the side of the road, but it makes for really brutal matches because there is nowhere to run.)

Both classes opperate under the SPARC ruleset. For the plastic class I think cardboard is a fair addition to the traditional PET, PETG, ABS, PLA, or PLA+ and I will allow it.

Open Ant: Double elimination tournament. $20 entry fee per robot paid at event. Half the entry fees are pooled into the winner, so the max prize is $160. https://challonge.com/WRCmay2021OpenAnt
