MIT House Battle 2025

The second annual MIT Combat Robotics House Battle will be held on November 15th, 2025 at Morss Hall (142 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139) on MIT's campus. 

Full day schedule:

8:00am - 9:45am Builder check in, pit load in, robot safety inspections

9:45am - 10:00am *MANDATORY Competitors meeting*

10:00am - 1:00pm Fights

1:00pm - 2:00pm Break for lunch

2:00pm - 6:30pm Fights

6:30pm - 7:00pm Awards ceremony

Registration Fee: $35.00 per robot 

Dropout Deadline: Selected competitors may drop from the event with no penalty any time before Saturday, November 1st at 11:59 pm. The full registration fee will be refunded. Selected competitors who drop from the event after the Dropout Deadline will not receive a refund of their registration. Please notify the event organizers as soon as possible so that we can open up your spot to a robot on the waitlist.

Arena: 4x4 ft Arena for Antweights. 6x6 ft Arena for Beetleweights. Plywood floors

Weight Bonuses: Weight bonuses: Shuffler = 1.25x (3.75lbs in beetles, 1.25lbs in ants) NTL = 1.5x (4.5lbs in beetles, 1.5lbs in ants) True walker = 2x (6lbs in beetles, 2lbs in ants) Multi = 1.5x (2.25lbs per half in beetles, 0.75lbs per half ants, or max segment weight of (total weight allowance)/(number of segments) for up to 4 segments)

STRICT LIPO OUT RULE: A Lipo fire means the event is over unfortunately, due to MIT's strict safety rules. We really have to ensure that there are no lipo fires.

Matches: 3 minute matches, 10 second pins. One unstick allowed (broom).
