Sonoran Showdown 2026 | Wildcat Robotics

On March 21th, 2026, The University of Arizona's Wildcat Robotics will be hosting the 3rd annual Sonoran Showdown!
There will be Swiss->single elim Beetleweight and plastic Antweight tournaments at the Bear Down Gym (NOT Old Main like RCE says)

Event details:

• 6x6x3 foot enclosed lexan arena with MDF floor (no pit)
• Standard safety measures and rules, see https://sparc.tools/
• Folding tables and power will be provided
• Please bring your own tools and lunch
• Swiss beetles (4 groups, 8 bots per group); Plants (4 groups, 4 per)
• Single elim finals (Top 50% from Swiss groups graduate to single elim)

Weight Bonuses
-SPARC Bonuses for both Beetles and Plants 

-Beetles only: Multibot bonus +1lb (Equally Split, Max 4 segments)

• 7:30 AM Doors Open
• 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM Registration Begins
• 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM Drivers Meeting
• 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Fights
• 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Lunch
• 2:00 PM - 6:30 PM Competition
• 6:45 PM- 7:00 PM Awards Ceremony
• 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Pack up

Parking will be free on-campus.  The nearest parking garage is the one on Cherry Avenue.
