Rules
We will follow the basic SPARC ruleset. The full ruleset will be updated soon.
General Rules:
- No heat, fire, smoke, entanglement, or other weapons that do not fit the spirit of the rules
- No weight bonuses for shufflers or other novel motion bots
- Bots will have 20 minutes between fights for repairs (per bot, not per competitor)
- One 10-minute extension per bot will be allowed
- One unstick per bot (arena snags are possible—design carefully)
- If your battery becomes exposed or exits the robot, the fight will end immediately in a TKO
- Multibots are allowed as long as the combined weight does not exceed the class limit
- No shuffler bonus for any weight class
- The cutoff switch rule will not be enforced during this event (this may change in the future—follow Facebook or Discord for updates)
Plastic Antweight Specific Rules:
Approved materials include:
- 3D printed PET, PETG, ABS, PLA, and PLA+
Sheet ABS or CNC-machined parts are not allowed.
If you have questions about material legality, please contact the Event Organizer (EO).
Format
-
Modified Swiss – First-ever format for SEMO
- 3-minute matches (may be reduced to 2 minutes depending on number of bots)
- Judging criteria: 5-6-6 for aggression, control, and damage (Standard SPARC criteria)
Bracket links will be posted before the event, but matches will not be finalized until the day of the event.
