Mayhem at MRRF II

Mayhem at MRRF is brought to you by the Midwest Rep Rap Festival (MRRF) with support from Palm Beach Bots

Tournament Format:

Day One: 3 round Modified Swiss where 2-1 and better records move into Single Elimination

Day Two: fairyweights round robin, 2v2 plants 4 round modified swiss.

Sign Ups:

Day One: There are open spots for 32 plastic antweights (1 lbs), 24 antweight (1 lbs) bots and 24 beetleweight (3lb) bots, ants and beetles will be MRCA ranked

Day Two:  There are open spots for 16 Fairyweight (150g) and 32 plastic antweights (1 lbs) competing in teams of 2 (16 total teams)

Note:  Teams registering for 2v2 with two entries will compete together, teams registering one entry will be paired randomly before the event.

Date: June 13-14, 2026

Location: Elkhart County Fairgrounds, 17746 County Road 34, Goshen, IN 46528

Venue: Has plenty of space for pits (tables & chairs are provided), power will be provided, competitors are envouraged to bring additional extension cords and power strips.

Day Two:

2v2 Plastic Antweights

• 1st - 2x $25 Palm Beach Bots gift cards
• 2nd -2x $10 Palm Beach Bots gift cards
• 3rd - 2x $5 Palm Beach Bots gift cards

Fairyweights

• 1st - $10 Palm Beach Bots gift card
• 2nd - TBD

Food: Food trucks will be on site during MRRF, you are welcome to bring a cooler and there are restaurant options near to the fairgrounds as well.

Arena:

Day One: 6x6x4 w/steel floors for ants and beetles (MRCA does not allow magnets on steel floors), 8x8x2 w/plywood floors (potentially w/arena hazards) for plastic ants.

Day Two: 8x8x2 w/plywood floors (potentially w/arena hazards) for 2v2 plastic ants and fairyweights.

Rough Schedule:

Saturday:

• 8:00am – Doors Open & Safety Opens
• 10:00am – Opening Round fights begin
• 4:00pm - Single Elimination Starts
• 7:00pm - Projected end time

Sunday:

• 8:00am - Safety is open
• 9:00am - fights begin
• 2:00pm - projected end time

Day One: $20 per plastic ant, $30 per bot for antweights, $35 per bot for beetleweights

Day Two:  $10 per bot for fairyweights, $20 per robot ($40 per team) for 2v2 Plastic Antweights (2v2 Plastic Ant Fee is $5 per bot for day one competitors)

Ruleset: This event will follow MRCA rules for Antweights and Beetleweights. For Plastic Ants and fairyweights the SPARC v1.6 construction rules will apply.

Spectators: Spectators are welcome and free to attend and doors open at 10am.  MRRF is one of the largest gatherings of 3d printing enthuasists and there will be vendors, displays, and other events during the weekend as well.
