BCRC Bell Brawls VII

Bell Brawls is an action-packed combat robotics tournament hosted in Silicon Valley, run entirely by high school students. 3lb and 1lb robots will battle it out in the BCRC's 35 sq. ft. octagonal arena until a champion is crowned.

• Tables, chairs, and power (1 outlet per table) provided
  • Please bring a power strip for yourself
• Competitors should arrive before 9:00am
• Bring safety glasses! Required for entering pits

Date: Sunday, May 17, 2026

Location: 960 West Hedding St, San Jose, CA 95110. Carney Building (83RJ+MH, San Jose, CA 95126)

There are stairs and an elevator, so please refrain from bringing any large toolboxes or wheeled items that will not fit in a standard elevator. Milwaukee Packouts, etc., will be fine.

Arena: 35 sq. ft. octagonal arena; steel floor

Food & Concessions:

Lunch and snacks will be sold on-site. We will have cheese and pepperoni pizza, along with various snacks and drinks, including cookies, chips, and soda.

Tentative Schedule:

Doors will open at 8:30, and we request all teams to arrive by 9:00. Here is the tentative schedule:

8:30 - doors open for teams; robot safety inspections begin

9:00 - teams must be in house by then, judging begins

9:15 - team meeting; bracket finalized

9:30 - fights start; robot safety inspections must be complete

12:00 - lunch break

1:00 - fights resume

4:00 - awards ceremony

5:00 - doors close

Entry fee: $25 each robot for both 3lbs and 1lbs

Ruleset (SPARC): MAJOR RULES CHANGE COMING UP: WE WILL BE REQUIRING AN ACTIVE WEAPON FOR ALL BOTS (contact us for questions)

Spectating: Free and welcome! There will be seating and snacks.

Bracket: 20 robots for 1lb weight class and 20 robots for 3lb weight class; swiss for both
