Event Details

• Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
• Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Location: UC Berkeley Campus, Hearst Memorial Mining Building
• Event Style:
  • 4-Bot Group Stage (round robin)
  • Single Elimination Tournament (top 2 from each group)
• Divisions (Priority for college teams): 
  • 16x 3lb Beetleweight
  • 8x 1lb Plants
• Registration: 0$
• Ruleset: SPARC 1.6 ruleset.
  • NO FLAME THROWERS
  • Plastic Ants: No TPU as per sparc 1.6 with the sole exception of TPU weapon or drive belts are permitted as emergency replacements

Registration Deadlines and Details -

• Teams please register via RCE
• One robot per builder/driver . Large clubs (such as school based programs) may enter multiple bots provided each bot is designed, managed/repaired and driven by a subteam/builder.  Contact the EO to confirm if you have any questions.

Timeline

• 7:30 AM: Venue opens to teams
• 8:30 AM: Check-in & safety deadline
• 8:45 AM: Venue opens to public
• 9:00 AM: Fights begin
• 12:00 PM: Lunch break
• 12:45 PM: Fights resume
• 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Finals, awards, and cleanup (estimated)
