Robot Renegades June 2026 at Martin County Fairgrounds (Stuart, FL)

Another venue where we can run FLAMETHROWERS!!  This is a single day event, bot count is capped accordingly to accommodate travel time for builders.  Spectators are welcome, there is no charge for admission.

• Classes: 
  • Plastic Ant
  • Ant
  • Beetle
• Registration Payment UPDATE - All registration payments are due immediately upon signing up.  Any waitlisted bots already paid will be promoted immediately.  There will no longer be refunds on registration payment for bots that drop out.  This update to registration policy comes from overwhelming signups holding spots, then dropping.  It takes away the opportunity for other prepared bots to compete. 
• Schedule
  • Saturday June 13th
    • Load In 9-10AM
    • Safety/Weigh In: 9:30-10:30AM
    • Fights start at 10:45AM and run thru about 7PM.
    • We are the only event at the fairgrounds so we'll make sure there is food in the building. 
• Rules:
  • SPARC ruleset with the following points of emphasis:
    • Active Weapons Required.  Similar to NHRL, "An active weapon is defined as a weapon or mechanism that operates independently from the robot's drivetrain or means of locomotion and is clearly designed to influence the opposing robot."
      • Gladiator class allows Viper Wedge kits as the only exception to the active weapon rule.  
    • Flamethowers ALLOWED in Ant Pro & Beetle.   That means you Luke & Matt :)
    • Plastic Ant Specs:  Traditional SPARC Rules No nylons, No blends (CF, Glass etc), No TPU or metal etc.   Regular PLA, PLA Pro styles are allowed such as PolyMax PLA.  All plastic parts must be 3d printed. 
  • Pit:  We have a pseudo pit, more of an OOTA zone in the corner, there's a reasonable chance to escape.  If you go in the pit you have a 10 count to get out before KO is called.
  • Exposed batteries are automatic forfeits
  • One postponement (15min)
  • Unsticks at the referee's discretion.  Clarification to be given at driver meeting depending on which arenas we run. 
  • Tapouts are allowed
  • Match length: 2 minutes
  • 3 rounds of qualifying into a single elimination finals bracket. 
  • Most Important Rule - **HAVE FUN**

VOLUNTEERS WELCOME:  We're happy to have any available volunteers help with the event.  If you have family/friends coming that aren't fond of sitting in the pits all day playing games on their phone we can always use help.  Pit Runners, Judges, Safety, and possibly announcers.  Please reach out directly to events@palmbeachbots.com if interested.
