Edith Wheeler Memorial Summer Reading Kickoff

We will be holding a combat robotics demo to advertise the program we run at the library; we will have a 2'x2'x1' test box that we will be using to display our bots and we will permit anyone who has a full combat antweight, plastic antweight, or fairyweight bot to either just drive around in the test or with our approval do a 1v1 grudge match in the test box. We will have sand buckets and fire extinguishers in case of anything and again if your bot seems too dangerous to use for this we will not allow you to use it in the test box (no flame throwers or banned bots under sparc rules). There is no price admission for this since it's just for fun and for kids to see but if you want to donate anything to the program (it's a 501c3) we will be very appreciative of it. The summer reading kick off will take place on Tuesday June 23rd from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, but we'll be setting up at 4:30 PM and cleaning up at 7:30 PM. This will be taking place at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe, Connecticut, and there will also be a magic show along with other activities at the event and there is plenty of parking. If you need a table and chairs, please ask and we'll make arrangements.
