APPM Combat Robotics

This is the inaugural Combat Robotics event at All Pikes Peak Makes (APPM), managed by the maker team at Monumental Impact. Combat robotics is an active learning hobby, and a great way for makers to focus their creative and engineering ambitions. 

Attendees are most welcome! We encourage you to watch the action and learn from discussions with the bot builders. This event is free to attend and participate in. Participants will be supplied with half of a table space, with electrical power either at the table or nearby. Bringing your own power extension cord is recommended.

This event features these robot classes:

- Fairyweight (150g): up to 12 competitiors, but get on the waitlist and we'll open up more slots if needed

- Plastic Ants (1 lb): up to 12 competitors. We want this event to focus on new and novice builders (if you have a high-powered experienced PlAnt robot, please take it to the Golden Tech Tussle instead)

- ORC (Open Robotics Competition, a new non-destructive robotics competition developed in Colorado): up to 8 competitors

The Fairyweight and PlAnt competitions will be hosted in the MITEE 4x4x2 battle arena, with a painted wood floor. The ORC competition will be on a full 8x8 field with 2 goals and foam floor tiles for maximum traction.
