Robot Renegades Kickoff 2027 (St. Lucie, FL)
The 2027 Kickoff event is confirmed. January 16th at St. Lucie Fairgrounds.

Classes: Max total bots is 48. Class caps will be edited as bots sign up to maximize the number of people that can participate.

- Registration Payment: Prepayment is required. Unpaid bots are automatically waitlisted until payment is completed. Refunds on registration payment are offered only if a bot is paid and never prmoted from the waitlist. If a bot has been promoted and drops or no shows, there is no refund on payment.

- Safety/Weigh In: 8AM-9:30AM
- Fights start at 10:00AM and run until we finish. Rumbles and grudges as time permits.

SPARC ruleset with the following points of emphasis:

Active Weapons Required. Similar to NHRL, "An active weapon is defined as a weapon or mechanism that operates independently from the robot's drivetrain or means of locomotion and is clearly designed to influence the opposing robot."
- Gladiator class allows Viper Wedge kits as the only exception to the active weapon rule.
- Flamethrowers allowed in Beetle and Ant Pro.
- Plastic Ant Specs: Traditional SPARC Rules No nylons, No blends (CF, Glass etc), No TPU or metal etc. Regular PLA, PLA Pro styles are allowed such as PolyMax PLA. All plastic parts must be 3d printed.

- Pit: We have a pseudo pit, more of an OOTA zone in the corner, there's a reasonable chance to escape. If you go in the pit you have a 10 count to get out before KO is called.
- Exposed batteries are automatic forfeits
- One postponement (15min)
- Unsticks at the referee's discretion. Generally speaking there are no unsticks unless the bots are stuck together.
- Tapouts are allowed
- Match length: 2 minutes
- 3 rounds of qualifying into a single elimination finals bracket.

VOLUNTEERS WELCOME: We're happy to have any available volunteers help with the event. If you have family/friends coming that aren't fond of sitting in the pits all day playing games on their phone we can always use help. Pit Runners, Judges, Safety, and possibly announcers.
