New Mexico Robot Combat: The Spooks Begin

NMRC uses the SPARC Ruleset along with the following ammendments for its competitions:

• No use of fire or flame weapons
• In the case of both robots being stuck together and unable to separate, there will be 1 separation per match
• Plastic Antweight rules are listed in 16.3 of the SPARC bot building ruleset.
  • While most plastic ants are expected to be 3d printed, you may enter a modified toy, rc car, etc as long as it is still legal under the SPARC ruleset mentioned above AND YOU HAVE RECEIVED PERMISSION TO DO SO. Email or message nmrobotcombat@gmail.com with photos and details of your toy entry.
• Walkers:
  • Shufflers will receive a 25% weight bonus
    • Shuffler fairies would be 187.5 grams
    • Shuffler ants/plastics would be 1.25lbs
    • Shuffler beetles would be 3.75lbs
  • Walkers will recieve a 100%* weight bonus
    • Walker fairies would be 300 grams
    • Walker ants would be 2lbs
    • Walker beetles will only receive a 66.66% weight bonus which would make them 5lbs.
• We are having full combat beetleweights compete at our event.  We are making certain restrictions on the weapon tip speed, since our arena may not be able to contain beetles at full power yet.
• The tip speed for beetleweights is 150MPH.  
• We have a tachometer to measure if you are unsure about your weapon's speed so you can make the proper adjustments.

The NMRC Arena

• Fairyweights, Plastic Antweights, Antweights, and Beetleweights.
• Magnetic steel floor.
• The arena 6' by 6'. 

 

Venue

New Mexico Robot Combat Club takes place at Cruces Creatives, 205 E Lohman Ave, Las Cruces NM.  Parking is free. There are restaurants around, and we will keep everyone updated on whether we will provide lunch as well.
