Price: Pricing and payment is available via the Artifactory Member portal

As of now prices are: Competitors: $20pp and Spectators: $5pp (This may change in future and is free for Artifactory Members)

Payments can also be made via EFTPOS on the day of the event

Venue: The Perth Artifactory

We will have plenty of table spaces in the pits, as well as power outlets and access to basic tools in Artifactory. Note: some tools will require you to be inducted to use (regardless if it is yours or provided by Artifactory), soldering irons and almost all hand and some power tools do not need this. Please check the Artifactory Wiki to check if you think a tool you might be bring will need you to be inducted. Facilities and tools may available and other builders may be able to assist and lend you equipment but try to be self-sufficient in case equipment is unavailable. Make sure that any 240V equipment that you will bring with you gets tested and tagged. This is requirement of the venue. Schedule: Schedule may change as the day progresses.

Ideal Schedule will be:

10am: Builder meeting and robot safety checks (please do not be late for this if you are competing)

10:30am: Round robin matches

1pm: Lunch break & sausage sizzle

2pm: Single elimination tournament + Grudge/Exhibition Matches

4:30pm - 5pm: Pack up

Rules: You can find our rulesets here: Visual Rules, Full rules .

Some key rules that will be checked in scrutineering/safety checks are:

Bots must have a switch to turn off power without disassembling the robot. Bots must have a visible power LED. Any batteries must be covered and not be visible (even when a lifter raises its weapon). Bots must pass a radio failsafe test (the bot will stop moving when radio is off). You must have a weapon lock that prevents any spinning weapons from moving while outside the arena.

Enclosed footwear is required for all attendees. Attendees under 18yrs old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Artifactory is a workshop environment and attendees under 13yrs old must be heavily supervised.
