Baba Yaga
About this Bot
Baba Yaga is the name of a beetleweight that was in a box of discarded parts from our previous robotics club. Based on what I found online, the last competition was back in 2018, and its age clearly shows; PLA Chassis, direct-driven N20s for drive, and an aluminum beater using carbide inserts for teeth.
Needless to say, we've significantly advanced.
While I didn't reuse any of the design or components from the old bot, this Baba Yaga will continue its legacy as a 2WD beater bar.
V1: Basically a lightly modified version of Repeat Robotics' reference CAD. This is a minotaur-looking beetleweight, but with Repeat's 4340 Beater bar. I modified it to make the uprights more recessed to better match Minotaur's shape. This effectively removed the built-in forks, so Baba Yaga has no ground game. Changes also include a PEBA and SEBS armor package for research purposes.
