Blade Runner: 2049 is the sequel to Blade Runner, which competed in the April 2023 event in Brisbane as a featherweight sportsman. Blade Runner: 2049 is a two-wheeled robot withn aluminium beam body. Its weapon will be a a machined spring steel bar with hardened steel inserts, an upgrade from the diamond grinding disc used by its predecessor in the sportsman class. It incorporates custom welded steel mounts for its drive motors with polyurethane wheels custom moulded to fit. The overall system will be powered by a custom 12S high performance lithium battery.
