Dead Rise is the first original design from Cryptid Robotics and builder Joe Copenhaver to be fielded at an event. Dead Rise is a mashup of dated and newer technology to push the idea of affordable but competetive featherweights.

Drivetrain- Modified HF 12v drill gearboxes (Yes, with the pins that arent considered usable anymore), Banebot hubs threaded for the drill motors, 4" Banebot wheels, and Controlled using cheap hobbywing ESCs. 4S

Weapon- 7.8" Diameter 1/2" AR500 Disk powered by a 56112 Hobbystar brushless motor on a 200A Redbrick ESC (Not recommended even if it survived its first competetion) 6S

Chassis- 1/4" Mild Steel welded chassis cut using Voronoi patterns for weight reduction and in theory to allow the chassis to abblate instead of bend and fold.

Other odds/ends- Links were used to cut down on cost, TPU wheelguards with pressed standoffs protect the outside of the chassis, and TPU forks were used due to material supply issues. These TPU forks were disposable and 6 sets were brought to the competition. These worked too well and definetely will be an option in the future when needing to win the fork game.
