About this Bot
This is the second version of this robot. The real-life rendition of Dark Tides is a drisk vertical spinner, taking inspiration from Battlebots competitor "Atom#94". However, it wasn't always the same general design. It was an eggbeater vertical spinner, and it was heavily inspired by Battlebots competitor “Riptide”. The original Dark Tides originated from Roblox in a game called Plane Crazy in 2022, then evolved into Garry’s Mod in 2024. The first version of the real-life rendition of Dark Tides competed in the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championship on May 5th, 2026.
