Hit 'N Spin is a 1lb asymmetric-bar meltybrain. Created thanks to a lucky "free titanium" offer, this robot was designed purely because I thought it would be funny. We even called it a "joke robot" at its first competition.   

But it turns out that the simple design is relatively robust and easy to maintain. It spins up incredibly quickly thanks to an inherent "2-speed gearbox"-like effect in its geometry. And getting to its only (completely exposed) wheel requires getting past its wicked blade. It's also near impossible to get stuck. Hit 'N Spin has become our primary test bed for new sensor technologies, so you never know what new ideas may be inside.
