Won most destructive bot in AIME Robotronica
A monocoque 98A TPU chassis with two polyurethane foam wheels modified with ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️ ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️ to increase grip and S7 tool steel forks and 100 gram vertical spinner mounted on a direct drive AC hub motor attached the the chassis by an aluminum sliding mechanism which is then inserted into the bottom and bolted in, allowing for large, uninterrupted side wedges to protect the weapon.
Designed to be as simple as possible to reduce breaking points, it only needs 24 screws (not including screws that came with components) all of which can be quite large and strong due to the space available.
I got into CAD and combat robotics about three months ago (as of my first competitive tournament 4/26/25)and although I had constructed a little antweight wedge in the past, this is the first one entirely designed by me. I have spent weeks building, testing, and rebuilding this thing to make it as good as I can and now I want to prove my worth as an engineer.
I am confident that this robot will do very well either now or with a few small tweaks.
Special thanks to:
My girlfriend, Spider Comstock, for drawing the artwork.
Sierra College Advanced Manufacturing, for waterjetting my metal parts.
Sierra College Robotics Club, for teaching me everything I know.
Kinship Academy And Alterna, for funding this project.
